Alison Guydan is a Primary Therapist at Nsight Recovery and Addiction and has gained diverse experience throughout her education and professional development. Alison received her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California, Berkeley focusing her studies in psychology. While attending UC Berkeley, Alison worked as Team Leader for the Neighborhood Vision Project, a nonprofit agency, focusing on helping adolescence increase self-esteem and address emotional concerns and issues within their neighborhood in order to overcome issues and roadblocks to increase academic achievements and reach personal goals. Alison assisted clients in overcoming issues from a systems approach including substance use, low motivation, and issues within the family. Additionally, Alison worked as a Research Assistant in the Institute of Personality and Social Research at UC Berkeley focusing on interpersonal relationships as well as a Mentor to freshman and sophomore students struggling with adjusting to the University and living away from home.
After completing her undergraduate degree, Alison attended the University of Southern California (USC) and received her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapist. During her training at USC, Alison began working at the CLARE foundation as a Trainee and continued on as an Intern working with clients seeking treatment for substance use and mental health issues at different levels of care including residential treatment, IOP/PHP, and outpatient. Alison continued her professional development by transitioning to an outpatient program focused on assisting clients with moderate to severe mental health and substance use work towards reunification with their children. Most recently, Alison worked as a Primary Therapist at La Ventana Treatment programs where Alison assisted the clinical team in opening a substance use and mental health IOP/PHP program and gain experience networking with other professionals in the field as well as providing individual, group, family, and couples therapy to clients seeking treatment for a variety of issues including codependency, trauma, depression, anxiety, substance use, and more. Alison provides a warm and empathetic approach to treatment establishing a strong therapeutic relationship with clients to assist clients in achieving their goals.
